About Filed Trades
What this site does, why it exists and what it will not do.
What it does
Filed Trades collects the stock trades that members of the US Congress and company insiders must report in public, removes the duplicates and bad tickers that creep into the raw feeds, and checks every buy against the S&P 500. It starts each clock on the first trading day after the filing, the earliest a follower could act.
The answer is shown with its sample size, whatever it turns out to be. If copying these traders shows no clear edge, the site says so.
What it will not do
- It does not give investment advice or tell you what to buy.
- It does not rank people on the period used to pick them, because that flatters luck.
- It does not hide small samples, blank returns or trades it could not score.
Corrections and contact
If a number looks wrong, the methodology says how it was made and the sources say where it came from. Contact details will be added before launch.
Not investment advice. Past disclosed trades do not predict future returns. Disclosures are published late, so the trades shown are ones you could only have copied after the fact. Talk to a licensed adviser before you invest.
